UC4 ACQUIRES SENACTIVE

BELLEVUE, WA & VIENNA, AUSTRIA, JULY 21, 2009 – UC4 Software, a leading provider of workload automation and IT process optimization solutions, today announced it has acquired SENACTIVE, award winning leader in complex event-driven business process modelling technology. The acquisition concludes a close working relationship in which the two companies have collaborated on new product development and technology innovation over the last three years. The transaction is complete and is effective immediately.

Traditional workload automation technologies were designed to manage batch processing jobs and rigidly scheduled processes in a highly structured environment. But as companies move their businesses on–line, manage global supply chains and move to IT infrastructure as a service, they require automation solutions that can sense and respond in real time to complex, interdependent events. The combination of UC4 and SENACTIVE technologies brings real time monitoring and analysis to the automation of IT processes.
